MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally into Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu, his hit from 2016, won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. In Medellin in 2017, the Sony label La Industria Inc. released ADN the debut album of his long-playing career. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was an instant Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. He dropped Dopamina which was his top charting second album, in the following year. The year 2021 was the first time he was as a duo TINI for her viral streaming song Maldita Foto. In 2023, he appeared on 2000, featuring the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo is from a musical background, both his elder brother and mother are also musicians. Turizo has told interviews that music is compulsory. He was taught how to play the saxophone, guitar, the ukulele and piano when he was a young child. Although he initially wanted to work as a vet, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban singing teacher would change the direction of his career.
